Photo a Day: Day 115: Pre-K

Being able to take Addison to pre-k is one of my favorite parts of being on Spring Break. I love being able to be more like a stay at home mom. She likes to show me her classroom, and I love being able to listen to her talk about her life. She showed me her project she made about her family, the climbing toy and her favorite chair. We took photos of her and her classmates and she gave me the sweetest goodbye kiss. I will always treasure the little moments of being able to be in her world if even for the one week that I am off. I am so proud of my little school girl.

Photo a Day: Day 114: BBQ with Baby Travis

Troy-Skott and JR invited us over for a BBQ at their house on Sunday. It was their twentieth anniversary so we felt blessed to spend that day with them. It was a beautiful day so we were outside for a good portion of it. Travis is really walking well now and he was very into Addison. He was copying her a lot. We loved time with our close friends and the cutest little boy in the world.

Photo a Day: Day 113: Swinging with Barbie

Josh and Addison let me take a delicious nap on this afternoon. While I slept they played outside. When I got up adorable Addison was playing with her Barbies outside. She took one of them on a very special swing ride. It was so sweet to watch her swinging with her Barbie on a beautiful day.

Photo a Day: Day 112: Playdate!

We finally had a playdate at our house with the Moms with Tots group. It was a perfect night for everyone to come over because Josh was out of town and they could stay as late as they wanted. Since Josh was in Vegas with Eric, Janna brought over some pizzas and we warmed them up at about seven when we realized the playdate was going to keep going. Everyone had a great time. The weather was beautiful so the kids could be both inside and outside. The girls put makeup on as usual. Diane got Fran's baby, Vanessa to sleep. It was a great afternoon and evening with our best friends!

Photo a Day: Day 111: Sleeping with Mom

Josh headed out to Vegas and that meant that my kiddos would sleep with me while he was gone. Since Addy was back from Spring Break she didn't have school the next day we pushed staying up a little later than we should have. We turned the television on and cuddled up. Unfortunately in the end the kids pushed me to the edge of the bed and I had no room to sleep. Spiderman and the big yellow dog as well as Leo were also our bedmates, so I was lucky to get the little room next to Addison that I had. Even through the pain I love sleeping next to the little loves of my life.

Photo a Day: Day 110: Menchies at Home

After going to Menchies we had leftovers. Unfortunately Q's leftovers got thrown away before he could eat them. So we made a Menchies at home to make up for it. We put cookie dough icecream, brownie pieces, chocolate chip cookie pieces and chocolate on the creation we made. Q loved it and said it was even better than Menchies!

Photo a Day: Day 109: Wrestling with Dad

Wrestling with Daddy is the highlight of Quinton's world. He became the character Break Dance Boy and wrestled his dad with crazy moves. I was the audience cheering on the break dance kid. Q took breaks to put water on his head and rest in between matches. In the end the Break Dance Boy beat his dad with three pins and headed off to take a shower. Winner!

Photo a Day: Day 108: Menchies

Quinton came home with a bunch of homework and absolutely did not want to do it. We made a deal with him: get it done in a half hour and we will go to Menchies. Guess what? He got it done! It was the first time Josh had been to Menchies. We loaded our yogurt cups up and had fun with the variety of toppings. Q loved the strawberry burst toppings. He even had some leftovers! It was a great little outing for the three of us while Addison was away at her grandparents. I love being with my boys.

Photo a Day: Day 107: Easter

We celebrated Easter at our house this year. The morning started with Quinton running straight into the kitchen and finding his Easter basket right away. He had a look of shock on his face and kept saying it was exactly where where his dream told him it would be. He then helped Addison find hers right away, too. The Easter Bunny brought them each a new video game, toys and a big chocolate bunny. We then dyed some Easter eggs and the kids played around in the yard waiting impatiently for the grandparents to arrive. We caught Q taking a quick pee in the corner of the yard! Aunt Theresie brought them each a game much to their delight! After everyone arrived we had a great dinner outside because it was so sunny. Then the highlight of the day: the Easter egg hunt happened. It took all of the adults to hide the hundreds of eggs that we stuffed with coins. The kids ran around like crazy and hunted for at least a half hour. There was a big egg stuffed with dollars that Quinton was obsessed with finding and he did find it in the hollow tree after he asked Mommy where it was and I accidentally looked toward the tree. They used their digital piggy banks to count the money they earned and each of them found over forty dollars worth of money in the eggs. Addison headed home to spend her Spring Break with Short Grandma and Papa. It was a wonderful day to spend with the people we love the most.

Photo a Day: Day 106: Papa Coe's Birthday!

We also celebrated Papa Coe's birthday on Easter. This year Papa turned 70. He was sort of depressed about his birthday this year, so we kept it low key. We gave him a comfy pair of Crocs to wear along with homemade cards. He loved the homemade pineapple upside down cake that Charlene made for him. We love celebrating someone we love so much.

Photo a Day: Day 105: Papa Rod's Birthday

Papa Rod celebrated his birthday with us on Easter. The kids both made him cards and we gave him some wine for his birthday. Charlene got him some lifevests for his new little boat he got. It is always good to spend time with him since he is so loved by all of us.

Photo a Day: Day 104: Hi Ho Cherry-o

Addison loves to play games and one of her favorites is Hi Ho Cherry-o. She makes up her own rules sometimes and doesn't like it if the spinner hits the wrong thing, but she has a great attitude when she plays.

Photo a Day: Day 103: Juicy Lucy

Josh and I love to watch Drive-Ins, Diners and Dives. On one of the episodes the Juicy Lucy burger was featured. It is a regular hamburger with cheese in the middle of the patty. It is so juicy and delicious when you bite into the cheesy goodness! Josh makes them better than any drive in, diner or dive could. I love his cooking so much, and this night it was the perfect juicy dinner delight to come home to after a long day at work.

Photo a Day: Day 102: Flowers!

Addison loves to pick flowers. Luckily for her and not so luckily for us there are plenty of dandelions in our yard for her to pick this season. She added one daffodil to her bouquet this day, but it is standard procedure for her to hand me at least one dandelion a day. I love the little gifts of love she brings to me. She is the love of my life.

Photo a Day: Day 101: I Wanna Hold Your Hand

The kids love laying in front of the fireplace. It was really warm this week, though, so we couldn't light the fire, but they still cuddled in front of the fire like the adorable little loves that they are. I am so grateful that my kids get along so well. Really, I wouldn't change a thing about our lives. We are blessed.
